Amitayus (tib. tse dpag med) is the Bodhisattva of long life, merit and wisdom and the special form of the Buddha Amitabha.

The meaning of practice of long life, related with Amitayus, not only to prevent obstacles in our everyday life, its main goal — achieving the condition beyond borders of life and death.
