Ushnishavijaya

Ushnishavidjaya or Vidjaya (literally «Victory» from Tibetan) is the goddess of long life. Sadhanas with Ushnishavidjaya considered to be practices of long life, they are in the same chain with rituals (like meditation) of Buddha Amitays and White Tara. Symbol of long life is that vessel with the nectar of immortality which Ushnishavidjaya holds in her lower left hand.

Above the main figure of Ushnishavidjaya there are two others Bodhisattvas of Long Life: Amitayus and White Tara. Three of them together are called «Three Long Life Deities» (tib. tse lha rnam gsum). At the base of the lotus throne are Avalokiteshvara and Vajrapani — attendants of Ushnishavidjaya in this practice.
